After yesterday’s great games, I can only hope we get some similar games today. More pitchers are going than usual, so make sure to get your lineups set early on.
CIN vs CHC – 2:20p
I really like Jeff Samardzija in this game, even though he hasnt been off to a great start. A word of warning – the Reds have been piling on the power as of late, so its a big risk. Joey Votto should be filling your lineup in every spot you can today.
GAME OF THE DAY – MIL vs PIT – 7:05p
This should be a great game, especially with Lohse going up against Morton. Both players have cards in the game, and both players can score with the big dogs on a good night. The Brewers may not be on a 9 game winning streak any longer, but they still are a fun team to watch. Carlos Gomez has emerged as a great hitter in the game too, and its worth adding him to your line up as well. He has had only 3 negative games all season, and has averaged over 30 points per game.
STL vs WAS – 7:05p
Newly minted mystery card Michael Wacha is pitching today, good luck to everyone who pulled or traded for one of these cards. He should have a great game.
NYY vs TB – 7:10p
Another potential big start for Kuroda, and many of the fans out there have a ton of his cards to play in this game. I would definitely consider it, as there is a good chance he will score some points. He is averaging over 80 points per start. Not a bad clip at all.
ARI vs LAD – 10:10p
Late game slate is a good one with Miley going up against Greinke. I would advise against starting Miley against the Dodgers lineup, but you can if you dont have enough to fill out the rest of your cards. Greinke has had 90 points in 2 of 3 starts and 70 in his last one. Its a good bet he will have a good game against a below average playing team in ARI.
HOU vs OAK – 10:10p
Jared Cosart has some nice stuff, but the Astros are terrible. He could still have a good game only giving up a few runs. I am going to be adding him to my lineup tonight, even though Oakland has a good lineup.
